Merman Nino AU

Emilie = Queen Athena (Ariel's mother that appears in the third movie)
Adrien also has six older brothers; Felix (eldest), Benjamin, Bryce, André, Adam and Ryota.
In this AU, Adrien and Nino grew up as childhood best friends under the sea as mermen. It's very similar to the Little Mermaid and the events pretty much play mostly the same. Adrien and Nino get caught up in a storm and Adrien rescues Marinette, who was on the boat and saves her from drowning. He of course falls in love with her, and Marinette wants to find the boy with that voice that saved her.
Any events that the mirror copy mentions will be only up to shortly after King Gabriel destroys Adrien's human things collection after Natalie told on him. And how Adrien was considering going to Papillion to strike a deal with him.

(For the curious as to what would happen afterwords, it would mostly remain the same but then it would change once Adrien is forced back into a merman because time ran out on the spell and he gets kidnapped by Ppaillion, who had used magic to disguise himself, used Adrien's voice and mind controlled Marinette to try to marry her to screw Adrien over (yes it's as creepy as it sounds).
Once they are underwater, it then gets revealed that Adrien's father is the sea sorcerer Papillion, which of course horrifys and hurts Adrien and his brothers. Felix spares Adrien from becoming an Akuam but becoming one himself, similar to how King Triton sacrificed himself to save Ariel in the original movie.
Marinette comes in to rescue Adrien and even ends up defeating Papillion and killing him. Of course then it leaves the question as to who takes over as King of the Seven Seas. Felix takes over and builds a bridge between both worlds and allows both Adrien and Marinette to become both human and merfolk whenever they like so they can be together and not have to give up either world.
